Dean and his crew were outstanding on our recently completed main-floor renovation. This is a 100 year old house and Northline accommodated our design requests and navigated through the various permit processes with relative ease. His engineer came up with a great solution to structural issues we discovered that was less cost than expected and end-result looks great.We also wanted to call out his various sub-contractors who were all excellent. Firstly, our project manager was a pleasure to work with and never ceased to amaze with his tireless work-ethic. All the other trades were very professional and great to deal with, and this seems to us to be the true indication of the quality of GC that Dean is. Updates provided on a regular basis, all costs and invoices provided in timely manner, and timeline and overall cost of the job was very close to the original estimate (understanding that we were in a highly inflationary time during the ****). My wife and I hired Dean and his crew to do a complete renovation on our home. They were very professional and were extremely thorough in all of their work. All of his subtrades were also very reliable. We have no hesitation in recommending Dean and Northline Construction.

Northline Construction has been renovating my 2,900 sq ft townhouse for the past five months. It was a significant renovation, including structural re-framing and the addition of steel beams and structural headers to covert four separate rooms into a single great room. Washrooms were also reconfigured significantly and walls were adjusted to create an impressive ensuite to the master bedroom. The house was taken down to the studs, all electrical and plumbing was replaced, and new insulation was installed before re-boarding. I worked directly with Dean through the length of the project starting with a review of the budget I had prepared prior to hiring Northline. During the review he was able to identify items that I had estimated below market value, and those that I had overpriced. We were able to fine-tune the overall budget, which was used by myself for the duration of the project. Dean worked with me to keep things on budget and any overruns were largely linked to me adding additional scope. The Northline crew were absolutely amazing throughout the entire project. Dean’s staff are personable, friendly, and most importantly do excellent quality work. Their care in their craft is apparent in the end result. Finally, I want to note how pleasant it is to work with Dean personally. I’ve worked with many contractors in the past and Dean is hands down the most responsive contractor I have worked with. He always returns calls and when I make a request I can rest assured that it will get done. I highly recommend Northline Construction for any work you are considering.

Northline Construction was truly a dream to have as my contractor. All the myths and nightmares that home owners fear were eliminated throughout the entire renovation. The company was professional, reliable and did even better than I had expected. The company owner Dean B. was a “Gem” to deal with, a “Top Shelf” guy. And by the way, I never knew him before the reno project started. The reno was on time and on budget.

Dean and his crew renovated our 70 year old home this past year.
